Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy applies to websites, applications and services operated by Connected Trip that link to it. It supplements our Privacy Policy and should be read together with our Terms of Use.
Scope and who we are
Connected Trip is operated by Asian Airfares Group, LLC, based in San Francisco, California. In this Policy, “Connected Trip,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to the Connected Trip services operated by Asian Airfares Group, LLC.
This Policy covers cookies and similar technologies used when you visit or interact with a Connected Trip service that links to this page. It does not control cookies used independently by an airline, hotel, travel agency, booking provider or other third party after you visit its website or use its embedded service.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on a browser or device. They can help a site recognize a browser, maintain a secure session, remember preferences, understand use or measure advertising and referrals.
First-party and third-party cookies
First-party cookies are placed by the Connected Trip domain you visit. Third-party cookies are placed by another organization whose technology, content or service appears on or supports the page. Browser privacy protections may limit third-party cookies.
Session and persistent cookies
Session cookies generally expire when you close the browser. Persistent cookies remain until their set expiration date or until you delete them. Some browser or device storage can persist in a similar way without technically being a cookie.
Similar technologies
For simplicity, this Policy uses “cookies” to include comparable technologies such as:
- local storage and session storage;
- pixels, tags, web beacons and conversion identifiers;
- software development kits used in applications;
- device, browser or session identifiers; and
- server-side measurement associated with a browser or referral event.
These technologies may collect information such as IP address, device and browser type, page or feature interactions, referring URL, approximate location, language, currency, timestamps and pseudonymous identifiers. See our Privacy Policy for how personal information is handled.
Categories we may use
We use optional categories only as permitted by applicable law and your choices. The available categories may differ by jurisdiction, service or page.
Typical cookie and technology use
The exact names and providers can change as our services and integrations evolve. This table describes the typical purposes rather than promising that every listed technology appears on every page.
| Category | Typical purposes | Example data | Typical duration | Choice |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Security, load balancing, consent, session continuity, bot and fraud protection | Session ID, consent version, security signals | Session to 12 months, or as needed for security | Always active |
| Functional | Remember language, currency, region, destination and interface preferences | Preference selections and local settings | Session to 12 months | Optional |
| Analytics | Measure traffic, navigation, performance, errors and aggregated use | Pseudonymous browser ID, pages, events, approximate location | Session to 24 months, depending on provider settings | Optional where required |
| Advertising and affiliate | Attribute referrals, measure campaigns, prevent ad fraud and report conversions | Campaign, click, referral and conversion identifiers | Session to 13 months, depending on provider and law | Optional where required |
Travel, analytics and advertising partners
Connected Trip may work with travel providers, referral partners, analytics services, advertising platforms, content-delivery services, security vendors and embedded-tool providers. Depending on the page and your choices, these parties may receive or set identifiers to:
- return live travel content or preserve the context of a provider referral;
- measure whether a search, click or campaign led to a provider interaction;
- understand site performance and aggregated use;
- detect invalid traffic, abuse and fraud; or
- deliver or measure advertising where permitted.
Third parties may combine information with data they receive elsewhere when their policies and applicable law allow. Connected Trip does not control a third party’s independent processing. Review the provider’s privacy and cookie notices before interacting with an embedded tool or continuing to its site.
Manage your cookie choices
Your choice below is saved to this browser. If you clear browser data, use another browser or device, or browse privately, you may need to choose again.
The preference center records categories; every optional tag or embedded tool must also be configured to read and honor the stored choice before it loads. A preference change cannot retroactively delete a cookie another provider already placed. Use browser controls or the provider’s opt-out tool to remove or manage those cookies.
Browser and device controls
Most browsers let you review, block or delete cookies through privacy or site-data settings. You may also be able to block third-party cookies, clear local storage, restrict cross-site tracking or manage site permissions. Consult the help pages for your browser or device because the steps change over time.
Blocking strictly necessary technologies may prevent login, security checks, saved consent, referral continuity or other requested functions from working. Browser settings usually apply only to that browser and device.
Global Privacy Control and advertising opt-outs
Where applicable law requires it, we treat a qualifying Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) signal as a request to opt out of sale or sharing for targeted advertising for the browser or device sending the signal. Because browser signals do not always identify an account, the effect may be limited to that browser or device.
Connected Trip does not sell personal information for money. Some U.S. laws define “sale” or “sharing” broadly enough to include disclosures of identifiers or online activity for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can send an opt-out request to info@connectedtrip.com with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.”
Industry advertising opt-out tools may provide additional controls for participating companies, but those tools are operated by third parties and may depend on cookies to remember the opt-out.
How long cookies remain
Cookie duration varies by purpose, provider and configuration. Session technologies generally expire when a browser session ends. Persistent technologies remain until their expiration date or until deleted. We choose retention periods based on operational need, security, measurement usefulness, consent requirements and law.
The table above gives typical ranges. A provider may use a different period under its own policy. We review settings periodically and seek to avoid retaining identifiers longer than reasonably necessary.
Cookies and personal information
Cookie and device information can be personal information when it identifies, relates to or can reasonably be linked with a person, household or device. Our Privacy Policy explains the categories we collect, purposes, disclosures, retention, international transfers and rights available in different jurisdictions.
Do not send passport numbers, payment-card details or other sensitive documents when asking a cookie question or exercising an opt-out right.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when our technologies, providers, laws or practices change. We will post the revised version here and update the date at the top. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice or request renewed consent where required.
When the consent categories or purposes materially change, the preference record may be reset so you can make a new choice.
